Kiké Hernandez is going to be in the Astros’ nightmares as the Red Sox star hit another home run to keep pouring it on Houston in Game 2.

On Friday night in Game 1 of the ALCS, Kiké Hernandez did everything in his power to try and keep the Boston Red Sox in it against the Houston Astros.

The ultimate utility man with playing in centerfield came up with two huge catches in the outfield while also notching four hits, including two home runs.

He made it three home runs for the series in Game 2, though, as he helped the Red Sox pile on the Astros after two grand slams in the first two innings:

Kiké Hernandez is in the middle of a historic postseason for the Red Sox

With his third home run in two ALCS games, Hernandez is now hitting over .500 for the MLB Postseason through six games with five home runs in total.

Not to mention, his defense on Friday night in Game 1 robbed the Astros of potentially blowing that game wide open on at least two occasions.

We always look for heroes in the MLB Playoffs and Hernandez is clearly emerging as someone in that category. For a player who hovered around a .250 hitter throughout the season, it’s the stuff of legends that he’s stepping up like this under the big lights of the postseason.

Red Sox fans are surely hoping this isn’t the end of the Kiké Hernandez hot streak.
