The Alabama Crimson Tide are on a bye week, which happens to fall on head coach Nick Saban’s birthday.
The Alabama Crimson Tide were not in action following their win over Tennessee last week, as they enjoyed a week off ahead of the LSU game next Saturday.
Coincidentally, their break falls not just on Halloween, but on the birthday of head coach Nick Saban.
Saban was born on Oct. 31, 1951, meaning he is turning 70-years-old.
But what does that mean for his coaching career?
When will Nick Saban retire?
With Saban turning 70, there are no doubt going to be college football fans wondering when he will retire from coaching. ]This week at the SEC teleconference, Saban said that he feels he still has 10 more years of coaching left in him.
Imagine Saban patrolling the sidelines until he’s 80. How many more national championships will he add if he coaches another decade?
As for what Saban wants for his 70th birthday, he doesn’t want anything because he usually goes out and gets it. That is very on brand for the longtime coach, as he braces for another 10 years standing on a college football sideline.
