Joe Buck captured all of the emotion of the Braves winning their first World Series in 26 years with his call of the final out to clinch the victory.

The Atlanta Braves weren’t projected to be much more than a fringe playoff team, if that. When Ronald Acuña Jr. went down with a torn ACL, the expectations lowered further. But expectations be damned, the Braves just won their first World Series in 26 years.

Behind a stellar performance from Max Fried on the mound and home runs from Jorge Soler, Dansby Swanson and Freddie Freeman, Atlanta cruised to a statement 7-0 win over the Astros in Game 6 to clinch the World Series.

And fittingly, it was the Georgia lifer, Swanson, who took the groundball and tossed it to Freeman at first to record the final out to officially crown the Braves as World Champions.

Joe Buck’s call of the final World Series out will hit Braves fans in the feels

Joe Buck perfectly captured the gravity of the moment with his call of the final out that will surely give every Braves fans goosebumps for days:

Though Buck was criticized (rightly) throughout the broadcast for talking about free agency and players’ possible “last at-bats” for their teams, he beautifully called the final out that fans in Atlanta have been waiting to see for more than two decades.

This is a moment that Braves fans have been waiting for and dreaming of, so soak in every moment.
