There is a lot coming out about the situation but we’re here to give everything we know about the allegations and story developing with Cook.

Dalvin Cook domestic abuse allegations: Everything we know

Early Tuesday evening, Cook’s agent released a statement to ESPN’s Adam Schefter alleging that the Vikings star was the victim of domestic abuse and extortion.

Later on Tuesday, however, reporter Rochelle Olson posted a screenshot of a conversation between Cook and an ex girlfriend that showed photos of the woman with a bruised and battered face and the running back apologizing for his actions.

That woman has filed a lawsuit against Cook, alleging that the assault caused a concussion during the November 2020 incident. The lawsuit accuses Cook of assault, battery and false imprisonment. Her account in the lawsuit states that she came to the running back’s house to get her belongings when things turned violent. The lawsuit states that she maced Cook before grabbing his gun when the Vikings star allegedly attacked her with a broomstick.

Cook’s attorney then released a statement with the Vikings star’s account of the event in question, denying the woman’s allegations and saying that she broke into the running back’s home, assaulted Cook and two houseguests, and has been extorting the running back ever since (via Tom Pelissero):

The Minnesota Vikings and NFL have both made statements to ESPN that they are aware of the situation and are gathering information.

There have been no criminal charges filed and the police were not contacted in November when the incident occurred.
