The Denver Nuggets will be without their star center and reigning MVP winner when they face the Chicago Bulls as Nikola Jokic deals with an injury.
Friday evening’s game featuring the Denver Nuggets and the Chicago Bulls will be without one of the biggest stars in the NBA. Nikola Jokic will officially miss the game as he works to recover from an injury.
Jokic, the reigning MVP and one of the most physically talented NBA players around, is apparently dealing with a wrist injury that he suffered when the Nuggets lost their game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Nikola Jokic injury update: Why is Jokic out as Denver Nuggets play Chicago Bulls?
It’s not currently clear the extent to which Jokic is hurt and how long this injury could impact him and the Nuggets. Denver will obviously want to get him healthy as soon as possible so he can return to action in the relatively near future.
Jokic has already missed some time this season after he knocked Markieff Morris over in retaliation to being shoved by Morris when the Nuggets played the Miami Heat.
Jokic also dealt with a knee injury back in October.
As Denver prepared to face Chicago, the Nuggets will now have to go without Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Michael Porter Jr., who are all dealing with various injuries. That’s not exactly an ideal situation for the Nuggets as they face the Bulls.
