Deion Sanders should be gearing up for a Power Five job after flipping Travis Hunter from Florida State to Jackson State on Early Signing Day.

Nobody dominated Early Signing Day more than Deion Sanders after getting top recruit Travis Hunter to flip from Florida State to Jackson State.

Sanders may be a Florida State alum himself, but getting the best player in the country to go to an HBCU school is simply unheard of … until now. This may have more to do with NIL money than anything, but Sanders’ Jackson State Tigers did go 11-1 and win the Celebration Bowl in his second year on the job. He is 15-4 in two seasons at Jackson State. Coach Prime can coach!

If Sanders wants to leave Jackson State for a bigger job, here are five schools that should be calling Prime Time’s representation.

Coach Prime in Las Vegas is something the college football world needs to see

UNLV may not be Power Five, but who wouldn’t want to see Coach Prime do his thing in Las Vegas? The Rebels may be one of the worst programs in the country, but they do play in state-of-the-art Allegiant Stadium. Though Nevada is not the most talent-rich state (outside of Bishop Gorman), there is a ton of upside to getting a high-profile coach like Sanders to go lead UNLV.

In a way, this would be akin to what Jerry Tarkanian did for the men’s hoops team. The UNLV Runnin’ Rebels were the coolest program in the country for a time. They won a national title and sent countless players to the NBA. With the help of UNLV legend Randall Cunningham, maybe Sanders can make the Rebels a winner. What if they got to join the Pac-12 in a few seasons?

Deion Sanders is an Atlanta legend already, so why not go to Georgia Tech?

Sanders is well acquainted with Atlanta. He starred in two sports professionally in the state capital. While he began his Pro Football Hall of Fame journey with the Atlanta Falcons, it was Sanders who played a big part in the Atlanta Braves going worst-to-first in 1991. He may have strong ties to the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Reds organizations, but he has Atlanta roots.

Atlanta is one of the most talent-laden metro areas in the country when it comes to high school football. Though arch rival Georgia looms large up 316, the Ramblin’ Wreck is right downtown across from the connector. If anybody can go to Georgia Tech and recruit on Kirby Smart’s level, it would have to be Coach Prime. Academic challenges aside, what does Georgia Tech have to lose?

Though Sanders could make UNLV and Georgia Tech relevant, if he does ever leave Jackson State, it could be for one of these three iconic college football brands.
