Ohio State and Utah have been scoring at a wild pace and the Rose Bowl over under line is about to be a distant afterthought.
We knew that the Rose Bowl between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Utah Utes had the potential to deliver one of the best New Year’s Six games of the bowl season. However, they surpassed that in the first half with a wild, wild affair.
The Utes jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, but it was the second 15-minute period when things started really popping off. In just over a minute, both teams scored two touchdowns (after the Buckeyes scored to make it 14-7 early in the quarter) and less than two minutes after that, Cam Rising rushed for a 62-yard touchdown off what appeared to just be a designed sneak on fourth down.
That put the game at 35-21 in favor of Utah going into halftime. And the two teams almost passed the Rose Bowl over under line in the first 30 minutes of play.
Rose Bowl over under: What was the line for Ohio State-Utah?
Per WynnBet, the Rose Bowl over under line was set at 63.5 coming into Saturday’s game. As such, the 56 points scored in the first half were just 7.5 points away from the line — and again, that total was for the whole game.
At posting time for this, the live line is at 91.0 points, which is just downright absurd.
Then again, with how this game has gone to this point already, that total itself might actually end up being too low.
Thankfully, this type of football is highly entertaining and, frankly, we all hope that this scoring bonanza continues.
