When the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18, the team will be without leading receiver Diontae Johnson and center Kendrick Green.

For the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team’s uphill climb to try and sneak into the postseason just got even tougher. When they take on the Baltimore Ravens in a must-win game on Sunday, they’ll be without star wideout Diontae Johnson.

On Thursday morning, the team announced that Johnson has been placed on the COVID list. On top of that, center Kendrick Green, who has started 15 games this campaign, is also on the list and out for the Baltimore showdown.

Diontae Johnson missing the Steelers-Browns game is a huge blow

Johnson has been terrific for Pittsburgh this year and he’s been the go-to option for Ben Roethlisberger. Thus far this season, Johnson has posted 100 receptions for 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns. Those are some seriously impressive numbers from the speedster.

Now that he’s out of action vs. Baltimore, though, it’s going to leave a massive gap for this Pittsburgh offense. In order for the Steelers to grab and AFC Wild Card spot, they’ll need to beat Baltimore, the Jaguars to take down the Colts and the Chargers/Raiders game to not end in a tie.

As you can see, they need a ton of help for a trip to the postseason to go down, but this squad isn’t going to stop fighting until the lights are turned off. First thing’s first, they need to take care of business against the Ravens and then see what happens elsewhere.

With Johnson missing the game, guys like Chase Claypool are going to have to step their games up to try and help out. Roethlisberger will also need to have a game to remember as well.
