Watch: Aaron Donald tries to choke Cardinals player during Wild Card game (Video)
By Scott Rogust
It appears there was another Aaron Donald choke incident during the NFC Wild Card during a fight between Rams and Cardinals players.
The Los Angeles Rams looked to be on their way to a dominating victory over the Arizona Cardinals in the Wild Card Round. They did hold a 28-0 lead in the third quarter, but any chance of a shutout bid ended after the Cardinals got in the end zone. But a penalty by Rams star defensive lineman Aaron Donald helped give them good field position.
After quarterback Kyler Murray hit wide receiver Christian Kirk on a 23-yard pass, Donald got into a heated exchange with offensive tackle D.J. Humphries. After ripping off Humphries’ helmet, Donald appeared to try to choke him before taking a swing at him.
You can take a look at the full exchange in the tweet below.

As a result of his actions, Donald was penalized for unnecessary roughness. That set up Arizona on Los Angeles’ own seven-yard line. The Cardinals would get on the board on a two-yard touchdown run by James Conner. After a successful two-point conversion, the Cardinals cut their deficit to 28-8.
This is not the first time that Donald has gotten in trouble for choking a player. Back in Week 12, Donald grabbed Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Lucas Patrick by the neck. As a result of that, Donald received a $10,300 fine by the NFL for unnecessary roughness.
It will remain to be seen if Donald will be subject to a fine by the league in the days after their Wild Card game.
