With the January Transfer Window set to close in less than a week, teams are trying to land Manchester United winger Donny Van de Beek.

With the big update coming that Anthony Martial is leaving Manchester United for Sevilla, could another headlining loan move be on the way for the club? That may end up happening for winger Donny Van de Beek.

Similar to Martial, the Dutchman has been incredibly unhappy with his lack of playing time. According to insider Fabrizio Romano, both Crystal Palace and Valencia are trying to get a deal done. Will a season-long loan move be on the way for Van de Beek?

Donny Van de Beek is hoping for more playing time outside of Manchester United

Interim manager Ralf Rangnick doesn’t want Van de Beek to leave town, per Romano. However, Crystal Palace and Valencia want to try and land the speedster for the rest of the season. United doesn’t want to sell Van de Beek for a permanent deal. If the right offer comes in, the front office could decide to let Van de Beek leave until the summer. Things are up in the air.

When the club first signed him, the hope was that Van de Beek would be a key playmaker for United. Unfortunately, Van de Beek has struggled to get into a consistent rhythm, despite fans calling for him to see way more minutes.

Folks have grown increasingly tired of Scott McTominay and Fred partnering in the middle. How in the world has Van de Beek not been able to step in for one of these two? Yup, ‘McFred’ has provided more headaches than smiles at times.

Now, Man United has until the end of the month to decide whether or not they’ll let Van de Beek try and regain his form over in London with Crystal Palace, or in La Liga with Valencia. Stay tuned to see how things break down here.
