Following the horrifying accusations presented by ex-girlfriend Harriet Robson, Mason Greenwood has officially been suspended by Manchester United.

Mason Greenwood’s time with Manchester United could be coming to a close soon. Over the weekend, his ex-girlfriend Harriet Robson took to Instagram to share some disturbing photos after Greenwood allegedly sexually assaulted her. An audio clip also made its way to social media.

Following that update, Manchester United quickly announced they were aware of the situation and gathering more facts. Moments ago, United took things one step further, announcing they’ve suspended Greenwood from team activities effective immediately.

MUFC really had no choice here, and the expectation is that the club could end up cutting him altogether soon enough as well. From the moment these allegations were brought to light, Manchester United fans have been calling for him to get kicked off the squad.

There’s no denying Greenwood is one of the best young talents in the English Premier League, but there’s a high standard players must be held to. The photos Robson posted are downright disturbing. She’s covered in bruises and blood in them.

This is why folks all over the world are bashing Greenwood and putting pressure on the club to part ways with him. For now, Greenwood won’t be able to practice with the Premier League giants or appear in any matches.

While Manchester United has made this decision, Greenwood is of course still going to have to wait and see how things play out with the law as well. The Greater Manchester Police is conducting a full investigation of things, with jail time certainly on the table for Greenwood if he’s found guilty. No one should expect to see him on a football pitch anytime soon.
