Mason Greenwood update: Man United star released on bail after rape and sexual assault charges

Manchester United winger Mason Greenwood was released from jail on Wednesday pending further investigation on his rape and sexual assault charges against his ex-girlfriend. 

Things continue to go from bad to worse for disgraced Manchester United winger Mason Greenwood. Greenwood was recently arrested after photos and audio made were released on social media from his ex-girlfriend Harriet Robson.

Robson, who shared photos of her covered in bruises and blood, had accused Greenwood of assault. Greenwood was arrested on Sunday on those charges. He is now facing sexual assault, rape and threats to kill charges. Greenwood was released on bail Wednesday morning.

Mason Greenwood now facing multiple more charges from his sexual assault arrest

Manchester United announced on Sunday that Greenwood has been suspended from team activities.

Nike has also suspended its relationship with the 20-year-old soccer standout. Greenwood is widely considered one of the top young talents in the English Premier League and he’s made several appearances for England’s national team as well.
