It’s been quite the journey for both Whitworth and OBJ, who have taken long journeys to end their season as Super Bowl winners with the Rams. The 40-year-old Whitworth is the oldest active NFL player since Tom Brady retired this offseason, and he just won the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award during the 2022 NFL Honors.
Beckham Jr. faced his own difficulties as he was traded away from the Cleveland Browns amid turmoil. Beckham Jr. has another reason to be emotional on Super Bowl Sunday: his girlfriend, Lauren Brown, is expected to welcome a child into the world on the very same night.
The moment means a great deal to LSU fans and the city of Los Angeles, which was heavily celebrated during the Halftime Show at SoFi Stadium.
