In an absolutely unsurprising turn of events, Snoop Dogg took an opportunity for a brief smoke break right before the Super Bowl halftime performance.

Snoop Dogg has an affinity for smoking weed. This is something that is generally well known by anyone keeping up with any level of pop culture and music.

Honestly, all things considered, saying Snoop has an affinity for smoking weed might be a bit of an understatement. The dude seems to smoke a lot. He has (several) songs about it. He was the driving force of an effort to launch a “weed themed television show.” He’s in the business of selling it and he makes a ton of money doing just that.

At this point, Snoop is pretty much synonymous with marijuana.

So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he’d find a perfect opportunity to smoke a little right before hitting the stage for truly iconic Super Bowl 56 halftime show. And of course, as it turns out, Snoop found the perfect chance to smoke before the performance began.

If anything, people are shocked that he didn’t smoke while on stage for the show. Because that definitely would have been something people would have been slightly surprised by. Snoop smoking on stage would have added another layer to an already impressive and captivating halftime show.

It also would’ve been pretty amusing to watch, all things considered.

But as it was, the halftime show itself was already fascinating and a thrill to watch. That just would have added another fun element to it.
