NIT selection show 2022: Bracket, start time, live stream

Selection Sunday isn’t just for the NCAA Tournament. The NIT also needs to announce their field of 32 for the men and 64 for the women.

The NCAA basketball postseason is ready to get going with Selection Sunday.

While players and fans across the country are hoping to receive a bit to the NCAA Tournament on both the men’s and women’s side, there will be plenty who miss out.

That doesn’t mean their season is over though. The NIT is around to give teams a chance to strut their stuff one final time in 2022.

The women’s NIT will welcome 64 hopefuls while the men’s NIT will feature 32.

Date: Sunday, March 13
Time: 9 p.m. ET

NIT selection show 2022: Men’s bracket

All teams that win their conference title in the regular season are guaranteed a spot in the NIT if they don’t make the NCAA Tournament, whether via an automatic bid from the conference tournament or an at-large.

Automatic bids: Davidson, Long Beach State, North Texas, Towson, Cleveland State, Princeton, Iona, Toledo, Northern Iowa, Nicholls, Alcorn State, Texas State

The men’s NIT will take place from Mach 15 to March 31 with the semifinals and championship game at Madison Square Garden. ESPN has exclusive rights to NIT games, which will air across the network’s channels.

Automatic bids: Maine, Dayton, Louisville, Villanova, Idaho State, Campbell, Ohio State, Youngstown State, New Mexico, Tennessee Tech, Oregon, Holy Cross, South Carolina, Wofford, South Dakota State, Troy, BYU

Here is the complete Women’s NIT field of 64. The full bracket will be released later.

The women’s NIT will take place from March 13 to April 2. The championship game will air on CBSSN.
