While the Texas A&M basketball team had a solid season and a respectable resume, the Aggies were snubbed and left out of the NCAA Tournament.
Well, there are only so many teams that can make it into the NCAA Tournament in any given year. That’s 68. A total of 68 teams make it in. That’s a lot of teams!
But, apparently it’s not enough for the Texas A&M Aggies to make an appearance this season.
Texas A&M probably the biggest snub of anyone.

Unsurprisingly, Texas A&M basketball fans aren’t happy! Nor should they be. This situation is awful and the Aggies deserved better. This is a team that had a great argument to make it into the 2022 NCAA Tournament and the Aggies were denied that shot.
Texas A&M was the 4th team out?

Texas A&M basketball: Fans react as Aggies denied shot at 2022 NCAA Tournament
I’m calm and don’t believe there is an NCAA conspiracy BUT TENNESSEE IS A THREE SEED TO HELP JUSTIFY LEAVING OUT THE AGGIES AND CONFERENCE TOURNAMENTS DO MATTER WHEN IT’S CONVENIENT FOR BLUE BLOODS AND NOTRE DAME JUST NEEDS TO SHOW UP TO GET A SPOT IN EVERY POSTSEASON AND NEW JER

This team deserves all the love from our fan base. We will be a #1 seed in the NIT, hosting multiple games at Reed. Go support our boys, they deserve it

Nobody in Aggieland is exactly thrilled about this, but it looks like Texas A&M fans are rallying around their team and
absolutely heartbreaking for these guys not to get in the NCAA tournament! they play with passion, grit, and toughness. not sure how some teams got in front of them, bc the SEC was the best all year and they earned their spot. https://t.co/IuZC6HRA2h

Team just played 4 games this weekend & gotta play again Tuesday https://t.co/XT9d9vSHgD

It doesn’t make sense. It’s hard to figure out. This a flawed selection process if we do not reward teams who deserve an opportunity. Based on how we’ve responded before, I can assure you, no one will battle with stronger fight than @aggiembk & this staff @TeamCoachBuzz

Oh, of course, the folks over at TexAgs definitely aren’t thrilled about this situation. They’re not happy at all, but who can blame them?
What a crock of shit. Pretty disgraceful effort by the selection committee to leave A&M out of the field. Some of the resumes very clearly do not measure up.

#TexasAM fan wants their athletic director to VERY publicly draft a written demand to the selection committee. That’ll show em. pic.twitter.com/gt5wWzToVs

Oh, and A&M beat ND on a neutral court this year… https://t.co/C34oHIJ3Ud

Texas A&M has a team that could thrive in the NIT, assuming the Aggies are even motivated enough for competing there. Losing an opportunity to be in the NCAA Tournament has to feel like a punch to the gut and is likely very draining. But, if the Aggies are focused, maybe they can prove that they deserved better.
