March Madness 2022: 10 best potential games we’re looking forward to watching
Top potential March Madness games
2. Final Four – West No. 1 Gonzaga vs. East No. 2 Kentucky
All eyes will be on the Bulldogs from here on out as Gonzaga seeks to redeem themselves for last season’s collapse in the national championship game. First up would be a thrilling showdown against Kentucky in the Final Four, which could be the single-best game this tournament has to offer when all is said and done.
Few teams have an interior presence capable of slowing down Gonzaga’s Chet Holmgren but Kentucky can throw Oscar Tshiebwe at him to have a fair fight. The talent level on these rosters is also quite close as an experienced Wildcats’ team could take down Gonzaga and leave Mark Few on the outside looking in of championship Monday.
1. National Championship – West No. 1 Gonzaga vs. South No. 1 Arizona
The best potential showdown would be a true 1 vs. 2 showdown in New Orleans between Gonzaga and Arizona. There is already a bit of drama in the relationship between Few and Lloyd, who was Gonzaga’s top assistant and the presumed coach-in-waiting before leaving to take the Arizona job this season.
Both teams can also score points in bunches, which could lead to an epic barnburner with the national title on the line. College basketball fans would be extremely fortunate to see the chalk hold and produce this excellent offensive display between the Bulldogs and Wildcats.
