The Michigan Wolverines had a first half to forget against Colorado State and people are letting them have it on social media.

For those of you who had the Michigan Wolverines moving on to the second round in your NCAA Tournament brackets, things aren’t looking so great right now. Michigan, a slight favorite going up against Colorado State, looked rough in the first 20 minutes of action.

The two teams just entered the locker rooms at halftime with the Rams holding a 36-29 advantage. Only 29 points for Juwan Howard’s group in the first half? No one expected that.

Michigan doesn’t look like they belong in NCAA Tournament vs. Colorado State

In that first half, Michigan went through a scoring drought of 4:41, which opened the door for Colorado State to jump to its lead. Howard was visibly frustrated on the bench. He’s not going to want check Twitter either, as Michigan is being trolled all over the place.

People are not impressed with Howard and his team as plenty of college hoops fans didn’t think Michigan had any business earning a spot in the big dance to begin with. With that poor performance against Colorado State to start things off, it’s only adding to that belief.

In order for Michigan to get back into this one, they’ve got to try and get into some kind of groove offensively. The team was led in scoring in the first half by center Hunter Dickinson’s 12 points. He’s going to need his teammates to rise to the occasion and start drilling some shots to help him out. Otherwise, Michigan could be watching the rest of the tourney from Ann Arbor.
