Here is what Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski had to say after the Blue Devils advanced to the Final Four with a win over the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Another round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament has come and gone, and Mike Krzyzewski and the Duke Blue Devils are still dancing.

On Saturday, Duke defeated the No. 5 Arkansas Razorbacks 78-69 in the Elite Eight to become the second team of the tournament to clinch their spot at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La. With this, Coach K’s career is still going strong, as he will enter retirement after the Blue Devils’ season ends.

After the game, Krzyzewski shared his thoughts on clinching a spot in the Final Four for an NCAA-record 13th time.

As you saw, freshman star Paolo Banchero approached Krzyzewski to call him the goat, but his head coach was hilariously having none of it.

Duke closed out the first half in the best way possible, and that was with Trevor Keels hitting a buzzer-beating three-pointer to give the team a 45-33 lead heading into halftime. Even though the Razorbacks did cut their deficit to 53-48 early on in the second half, the Blue Devils pulled away for the win.

Freshman AJ Griffin led the Blue Devils with 18 points scored (7-for-9 from the field, 2-for-3 from the 3-point line). Banchero tallied 16 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Mark Williams secured a double-double with 12 points (6-for-6 from the field) and 12 rebounds.

Now, Duke will be scouting their opponents on Sunday. They will be playing either the No. 15 Saint Peter’s Peacocks, the Cinderella team that has won over the viewing audience, or the No. 8 UNC Tar Heels, their hated rivals.

Whoever their opponents are, the Blue Devils are two wins away from sending Coach K into retirement with his sixth national championship.
