How did the Blue Devils get to within two wins of a national championship?

It started in the first round with a comfortable 78-61 win over No. 15 Cal State Fullerton.

The second round introduced more of a challenge as No. 7 Michigan State tried to knock them off but the Blue Devils held firm for an 85-76 victory.

In the Sweet 16, Duke got all they could handle from No. 3 Texas Tech. Despite trailing by as many as eight, the squad wasn’t ready to go home. They dug deep and came away with a 78-73 win.

Finally, they faced No. 4 Arkansas but there was no drama to be had on Saturday night. Duke closed out the first half with emphasis and rode the wave to a 78-69 romp.

Now, the Blue Devils await their Final Four opponent: Either rival UNC or Cinderella No. 15-seed Saint Peter’s.
