Some rivalry history is being made in the NCAA Tournament as the Duke Blue Devils get set to face off against the North Carolina Tar Heels in the Final Four.
As the Duke Blue Devils and North Carolina Tar Heels get prepared to make some history, folks on both sides of the historic and treasured rivalry are experiencing a wide range of emotions. Both teams have managed to get a win over their rival this season with the Tar Heels coming out on top in Mike Krzyzewski’s final home game.
Both fanbases are more than aware of the emotional toll this game will likely take on whichever team ends up losing.
That said, Duke basketball fans are having to deal with the fact that their coaching legend is getting set to retire and will not have another opportunity to face off against the Tar Heels. North Carolina basketball fans are hoping that means Coach K will end up having a loss for his final matchup with the Tar Heels.

- UNC gets a chance to be the one to send K home
- 75K in the stands
- Winner goes to the title
Endless reasons
This game should be fascinating. Two of the best programs in college basketball are squaring off in the NCAA Tournament for the first time.
I had the entire first half to accept it. Now it’s time to embrace it.

Bring it on, Heels.
For those who do not live in-state or around Duke it is going to get crazy around here this week. Car flags, shirts, smack-talking, and yes likely some things you will not be proud of in the news before all is said and done. Heck, we may see Martial law...

This should be a thrill to watch.
