Manek started his career at Oklahoma in 2017, averaging double-digit points in four years with the Sooners.

Given an extra season of eligibility because of the COVID-19 pandemic, he decided to transfer to North Carolina for his final season. He ended up having a career year after taking over as a starter at the turn of the new year.

With 15.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, Manek helped get the Tar Heels get into the NCAA Tournament.
