Kansas completed the biggest comeback in the history of the national championship game to beat UNC and win a title. Freezing Cold Takes had a field day.

Bill Self’s Kansas Jayhawks were dead in the water. They trailed by 16 points against the UNC Tar Heels and by 15 at halftime. Their goose was cooked — at least until it wasn’t.

A sloppy start to the second half allowed the Jayhawks to come roaring back and North Carolina looked completely out of sorts as it happened. Midway through the second half, the game was tied. It was back-and-forth from there on out but, after some untimely injuries and poor decision-making, KU had completed the biggest comeback in the history of the national championship game.

Naturally, the Old Takes Exposed/Freezing Cold Takes Twitter account was at the ready to enjoy their proverbial Christmas.

Kansas comeback beats UNC in national championship: Freezing Cold Takes feasts

First, the Freezing Cold Takes account took aim at the people on Twitter who were all-too-quick to declare the Jayhawks dead when they went into halftime down 15 points.

Then they took aim at a betting account for basically declaring the UNC moneyline as locked up and paid out.

College basketball games are 40 minutes long. And any UNC fan with a brain about them would’ve looked back at another No. 1-seed from the Big 12, Baylor, that they played earlier in the tournament and blew a 25-point lead against before needing overtime to win.

The Jayhawks never subsided. and never quit. Now, they’re hoisting a trophy because of it.
