Learn all about a new reality television concept revolving around social media influencers and boxing

The Ultimate Fighter has been the gold standard of combat sports reality television. Every season, two weight divisions of eight fighters each compete against one another to determine who the next UFC contract winner ends up being.

Now, in 2022, a new concept is set to take over the boxing scene that should get fight fans excited for years to come.

What is Ultimate Social Boxing?

Ultimate Social Boxing is the newest reality television show to enter the combat sports space. The concept was created off the inspiration of celebrity boxing matches featuring the likes of Jake Paul and Bryce Hall, to name a few. It will feature social media influencers who will compete in an amateur boxing competition over the course of several episodes.

According to a press release from LiveOne, there will be 32 pop culture stars, both male and female, who will compete in a TUF-style format that includes a preliminary round and single elimination fights to determine who the top social media boxing star is. Once 16 fighters are left after the preliminary round, the competition really begins. Similar to TUF, Ultimate Social Boxing will go inside the lives of the social media stars with so-called “clout” challenges ahead of their fights.

At the end of the season, the Ultimate Social Boxing competition winner will earn a contract, $1 million, and an invite to the new Ultimate Social Boxing league. The new league is set to launch at some point this summer.

Who is competing for Ultimate Social Boxing?

At press time, the cast members have yet to be revealed but will be announced “shortly,” as per the release.

Ultimate Social Boxing can be found on LiveOne, an OTT platform that generated over 53-million social media impressions when the company launched the show “Social Gloves.”
