Manchester United buried on Twitter after embarrassing loss to Liverpool
Manchester United’s players showed little heart in the loss to Liverpool and the club as a whole is getting torched on social media.
English Premier League fans were able to witness just how far the gap currently is between Liverpool FC and Manchester United. With people expecting a good game at Anfield between the two sides, that wasn’t the case.
Instead, Liverpool dominated this one from the opening minute, recording a brilliant 4-0 win. With that result, LFC is now in first place of the English Premier League table for the first time since October.

Manchester United is getting trolled left and right on Twitter
For Manchester United, this was yet another awful showing against a top-six club. In the first half specifically, MUFC showed little to no heart. Fans have become increasingly frustrated with this group and all the people calling the team out on Twitter has only made things worse.

There are thousands and thousands of additional tweets just like the ones showcased above. Manchester United barely threatened Liverpool’s defense. This is one of the oldest and best rivalries in English football.
Yet, the United players didn’t put up much of a fight and they looked disinterested in even trying to make this a contest. Jadon Sancho brought some energy onto the pitch to start the second half, but any MUFC momentum was wiped away thanks to a brilliant goal from Sadio Mane to make things 3-0. Then Mo Salah landed the final blow by scoring his second goal of the game to push things to 4-0.
In the first meeting of the year between these two teams, LFC won 5-0 at Old Trafford. Now, they’ve taken United down 4-0, for a 9-0 aggregate advantage on the year. That’s pathetic for United, plain and simple.
