A New York Mets fan started a chant at Yankee Stadium, and Aaron Judge immediately made him regret it in the most perfect way.

Earlier this week, the New York Yankees and Mets squared off in the latest installment of the Subway Series. The Yankees went on to sweep the Mets during the quick two-game series, but that turned out not to be the biggest highlight of it.

In the middle of an Aaron Judge at-bat, a Mets fan attempted to start a “Let’s Go Mets” chant. With the game being at Yankee Stadium, the chant was not well-received and was instead met with an array of boos from the Yankee faithful.

The boos did not stop the daring Mets fan, however. In fact, it only made him chant louder and shout “strike three” toward Judge. Yet, the superstar outfielder would not strike out. Instead, he did the complete opposite, as he hit a home run. Now that was a productive way for Judge to silence the Mets fan, I’d say.

It’s hard not to love the fan’s reaction to the home run, too. It’s rather apparent that he was in complete shock and even let out a good chuckle. Perhaps this moment will make him no longer taunt when an opposing team’s superstar is at the plate. Either way, he provided baseball fans around the world with a very entertaining moment.

In 121 games this season, Judge has a league-leading 48 home runs and 106 RBIs. With stats like these, perhaps this is something the Mets fan should have seen coming.
