Joker at AEW All Out: Who is the masked ladder match winner?

AEW fans are trying to figure out who is The Joker who won the Casino Ladder match at All Out 2022.

One of the big matches at AEW All Out 2022 was a Casino Ladder match, with the winner receiving a future AEW World Championship match. Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Penta El Zero Miedo, Rey Fenix, Andrade El Idolo, Rush, Dante Martin were announced for the match. There was a Joker spot, which is a mystery opponent.

As the seven competitors battled, a group of men wearing ski masks approached the ring and attacked them all. One climbed the ladder and retrieved the poker chip, who was later revealed to be manager Stokley Hathaway. The other masked men were Ethan Page, W. Morrisey, Colten Gunn, Austin Gunn, and Lee Moriarty.

Then, “Sympathy for the Devil” by the Rolling Stones hit, and a masked competitor approached the ring. Hathaway handed the poker chip to “the Joker,” and the bell was rung to signify that they were the winner. “The Joker” teased taking off the ski mask, but refused.

Who was ‘The Joker’ who won Casino Ladder match at AEW All Out 2022?

“The Joker” was none other than Maxwell Jacob Friedman, MJF.

In the main event of All Out, CM Punk defeated Jon Moxley to regain the AEW World Championship. As Punk celebrated, the lights went out, and a voicemail message from AEW CEO Tony Khan was played. Khan made them the offer to be in the Casino Ladder match over the phone and said that they did not have to sign a contract extension. Then, “The Joker” was shown on the screen, turned their back to the camera, and removed their mask. Then, they put on a signature scarf, one that AEW fans knew all too well. It was MJF.

After the video aired, MJF walked onto the stage, and made the motion that he is coming for Punk’s championship.

Back on Double or Nothing weekend in May, MJF no-showed a fan fest event, but competed in his scheduled match against Wardlow. His last appearance was on the June 2 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he cut an in-ring promo against AEW CEO Tony Khan, and threatened him to fire him. He has not been on AEW television since.

MJF has returned, and he is running it back with Punk in what has been one of AEW’s best rivalries.
