Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady said on Thursday that there has been “a lot of bad football” this season.

The 2022 NFL season is just four weeks old, and there is just one undefeated team remaining — the Philadelphia Eagles. There is one winless team remaining in the Houston Texans. There are 15 teams that are 2-2. There are seven teams that are 3-1.

During a press conference on Thursday, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady responded to a question about the parity around the NFL through the first four weeks of the season. Brady simply said there’s been “a lot of bad football.”

“I think there’s a lot of bad football from what I watch,” said Brady. “I watch a lot of bad football. Yeah, poor quality of football, that’s what I see.”

Brady gave hours notice of what was the brutally painful watch of a game between the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football. We kid. But considering both teams were the two worst offenses in the league, fans should have known what was coming.

In regards to “bad football” games, there have been quite a few to occur on primetime television. From the Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys game in Week 1, to the Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears game in Week 2, to the Broncos vs. San Francisco 49ers game in Week 3.

Given that there are 18 weeks in the season, there is still plenty of time for teams to build the perfect formula to get consistent victories.

So far though, as Brady points out, games have been a tough watch. We shall see if they get better down the stretch this season.
