Philadelphia Eagles fans got raucous in the streets before Super Bowl 57, flipping a car before the game against the Chiefs even started.

It may not be the most civilized of celebrations but by now sports fans are used to seeing winning fans after a championship game flip a car or two.

Eagles fans jumped the gun on Super Bowl Sunday by flipping a car before kickoff.

Videos from around Temple University showed a crowd in the street cheering as fans flipped over a silver sedan on Sunday afternoon.

Ok Eagles fans, we get it. You’re excited for the big game. But save some of that enthusiasm for the game itself and the celebrations that may follow.

Of course, this could be a bad sign for Philadelphia. Just like 49ers fans getting wild with the Rocky statue, we may look back and point to this moment as the one that jinxed the Eagles if they go on to lose Super Bowl 57 to the Chiefs. The premature rowdiness probably doesn’t bode well, regardless of the result.

Philly is already known for particularly vigorous celebrations. The city has to grease its light poles to prevent fans from climbing them. And that doesn’t always work either.

Still, these aren’t videos of celebrations. They’re videos of a whole bunch of people with way to much pent up energy. Or maybe it’s a protest of Comcast/Xfinity and their inability to keep the lights on for the most important sports day of the year.

Either way, property damage isn’t cool, whether it comes before the game or in the euphoria or disappointment of the aftermath. We can only hope the owner of that car has good insurance.
