NFL rumors: What Aaron Rodgers is doing during Packers-Jets trade rumors

While the entire NFL world awaits what Aaron Rodgers wants to do heading into free agency, the Green Bay Packers starting quarterback spent Saturday morning in Orange County, California participating in a celebrity flag football game. Other notable players taking part in this game included California natives like Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, Jared Goff and USC legend Matt Leinart.

You can read into this however you want, but the fact Rodgers is playing the game he loves with other alpha males is a strong sign that he is interested in playing this season. Rodgers did spent the better part of a week inside of a dark hole, trying to figure out the meaning of life again for the umpteenth time. Now that he is back out in the sunlight, it seems as though he just loves to play.

It remains to be seen if Rodgers will want to stay in Green Bay, or be traded to a team like the New York Jets. The Packers brass said it would accommodate Rodgers with whatever he wants to do. However, the Jets and Packers need to know very quickly what Rodgers wants to do about playing next year because the legal tampering period of 2023 NFL free agency begins in earnest Monday.

Along with Baltimore Ravens star Lamar Jackson, Rodgers is the other huge domino that must fall.
