NFL rumors: 5 teams that should hope Jalen Carter’s stock keeps falling

The Philadelphia Eagles can use New Orleans Saints’ pick at No. 10 to reload
As with the Detroit Lions, the Philadelphia Eagles have the luxury to be picking inside of the top 10 at another team’s expense. They have the No. 10 pick due to a weird trade by the New Orleans Saints in their quest to move up for a wide receiver in a deep wide receiver draft. Chris Olave is awesome, but Carter has a chance to be the next Warren Sapp or a Fletcher Cox in the trenches.
Even though Cox is a future hall-of-famer himself, his best days are probably already behind him. For the defending NFC Champions to be in a position to theoretically draft his replacement and put him in the same front-seven as other Georgia legends like Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean, I mean, that’s just not even fair at this point. It would further illustrate just how well-run the Eagles are.
Although the Eagles could pass on Carter for similar reasons as other teams picking ahead of them would, the talent and upside is just too high for me to realistically say he is falling out of the top 10 entirely. Somebody out there is going to assess the risk and determine that this is a high-end talent worthy of rolling the dice on. Carter joining the Eagles would make my head explode…
So either the Eagles take him at No. 10 or somebody will just have to trade up with them for him.
Detroit Lions | Las Vegas Raiders | Atlanta Falcons | Chicago Bears
