The Huskies may have only been a No. 4 seed, but they were the most dominant team in March Madness this year. Every single victory in the NCAA TOurnament was by double digits, including Monday night’s win over No. 5 seed San Diego State.

UConn lived the mantra of “Leave No Doubt” during the tournament.

They avoided any hint of an upset with an emphatic win over No. 13 seed Iona in the first round, 87-63. They blasted No. 5 Saint Mary’s, 70-55, in the second round.

No. 8 seed Arkansas had just taken out the No. 1 seed Alabama when they met in the Sweet 16 but that didn’t matter. The Huskies stormed past the Razorbacks, 88-65.

No. 3 seed Gonzaga was no match for UConn in the Elite Eight. An 82-54 victory sent the Huskies to the Final Four.

There they ended No. 5 Miam’s dreams with a 72-59 win.

By the time UConn took the court against No. 5 seed San Diego State in the championship game, it was clear that the Huskies were playing at a different level than everyone else in the field.

The fifth championship in UConn history was secured with a no-nonsense 76-59 victory.
