Maybe you’re a fan of Baseball Hall of Famer Wade Boggs from his Yankees or Red Sox days (or the Rays?). Maybe you’re a pop culture fiend who knows Boggs from his cameos in “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” or “The Simpsons”.

Regardless of how you first encountered Boggs, you know one thing about him: his iconic look.

The mustache. The hair. It all goes strikingly well with a can of ice, cold beer — and that’s probably why Boggs became the center of the incredible story of consuming 107 beers on a cross-country flight.

But what you might not know is, according to Boggs, the beer got its revenge shortly thereafter.

Pabst Blue Ribbon’s “Cool Blue” mascot has always borne a striking resemblance to Boggs, swiping his trademark ‘stache for their hero character. Now, it’s Boggs’ turn to strike back in a hilarious new ad spot.

Baseball Hall of Famer Wade Boggs wants to steal his look back from PBR’s Cool Blue

Look, maybe none of us have ever gone this far to exact revenge. None of us have (likely) hired a PI to follow us around and get to the bottom of it. But we all have lookalikes. And we all deserve justice.

To support Wade’s journey, BoggsIsBlue.com has the full details. Hopefully, by the 108th beer, everything becomes a little clearer.
