Disgraced Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer has been slapped with yet another sexual assault allegation. Here’s everything to know.

Former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer was accused of sexual assault for the fourth time in his career.

The latest sexual assault allegation, first reported by USA Today, came from a woman in Arizona who alleged that Bauer raped her and impregnated her in late 2020. She did not give consent to USA Today to reveal her name.

The woman initially filed the lawsuit against Bauer last December, and in addition to her rape allegation, she detailed a series of violent incidents with Bauer in Scottsdale, Arizona over the span of several months. She alleged that Bauer physically assaulted her four times, and one of those times involved him holding a steak knife to her throat.

In her lawsuit, the woman demanded $3.7 million from Bauer along with an apology “to any women the defendant has sexually humiliated and abused against their consent.”

Bauer has since responded by denying the allegations and countersuing the woman, believing that she was extorting him and that she had lied about her pregnancy.

These allegations come years after Bauer was first exposed by his first sexual assault victim back in 2021. At that time, the MLB conducted a thorough investigation into Bauer’s actions and handed him a 324-game suspension shortened to 194 games. He was eventually released by the Dodgers and has since relocated to Japan to play in the Nippon Professional Baseball League.

Bauer has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in his past sexual assault cases, and he isn’t changing his stance now.

Bauer’s legal team responded to the most recent allegation and said the Arizona woman’s lawsuit “is another attempt to harass and extort Mr. Bauer.”

According to Bauer’s countersuit, Bauer had a single consensual encounter with the woman, who he met on Instagram, in December 2020. Afterward, the woman discovered she was pregnant and asked Bauer for $1.6 million to terminate the pregnancy. Bauer ended up sending roughly $8,700 for the woman’s medical expenses spread out over five separate Venmo transactions.

On Tuesday, the woman amended her civil complaint saying that she had decided not to terminate the pregnancy and had a miscarriage instead.

Bauer was never arrested or charged in any of his prior sexual assault cases, though the Arizona woman’s latest allegation continues to tar the pitcher’s sullied reputation.
