Little League World Series winners: Every champion by year

The 2026 Little League World Series is in full swing, and plenty of United States teams remain in the hunt. Alabama pitcher Kinley Rasmus has become this year’s tournament marquee player, and we’re guaranteed to see a new champion after Taiwan failed to qualify.

You won’t be surprised to hear that the U.S. has been a Little League World Series powerhouse, especially considering that the tournament exclusively included North American teams until 1958. But which other teams have managed to win the LLWS over the years? We have you covered.

Which teams have won the most Little League World Series titles?

As of August 2026, United States teams have won the most Little League World Series titles, with their 40 titles more than double Taiwan's 18. The LLWS expanded to include international regions in 1958, though Mexico was the first non-U.S. champion one year prior. Interestingly, the Monterrey, Nuevo León squad competed in the U.S. South bracket.

Japan is the only other country with double-digit championships, rattling off 11 titles from 1967 through 2017. There are four international countries to win the Little League World Series: Mexico and South Korea have three wins, Venezuela brought home two championships, and Curacao knocked off the California squad in 2004.
