Since taking over as president of the New York Knicks, Phil Jackson has been very busy, headlined by the re-signing of forward Carmelo Anthony, the hiring of Derek Fisher of head coach and the trade that sent center Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton to the Dallas Mavericks for a package headlined by point guard José Calderón.

With all of the change, the Knicks don’t know who their starters will be.

“We had considerable amount of personnel change,” Jackson said via Marc Berman of The New York Post. “We’re hoping it’s all for the good and we fit together quite well. We got some size. We also got some young guys and a quicker team in the process.”

According to Fisher, Anthony is the only certain starter.

“The only person I know for sure who is going to be starting is ‘7’,” Fisher said.

“We haven’t started training camp when you learn where your team is, how different players work together,” Fisher added. “Putting together a starting lineup is not just about individual guys.

It’s the five guys who work well together as a unit. Those decisions can’t be made until we observe as a coaching staff. It will start to crystallize and formalize.”

Aside from Anthony, the best guess at a starting lineup would be Amar’e Stoudemire at forward with Anthony, Samuel Dalembert at center, Iman Shumpert at shooting guard and Calderón at point guard.
