The 2014 World Cup is right around the corner and fans across the globe are getting ready for the sport’s biggest tournament. Not everyone is fortunate enough to land tickets to the event, which is being held in Brazil, so some are left to celebrate at home.

More from World Cup

That doesn’t mean there aren’t opportunities for fans to get a World Cup-like atmosphere though. The Dallas and Ft. Worth chapters of the American Outlaws, the United States men’s national team supporters club, has announced their line up of events for the 2014 World Cup. Watching the USMNT with the American Outlaws will be an incredible atmosphere and the supporters club has received praise around the country.

“The Outlaws have helped change the international experience for the U.S. — the team and the country,” Mike Foss of the USA Today wrote.

They American Outlaws and their song “I Believe” were also highlighted in an ESPN commercial for the 2014 World Cup.

Fans in the DFW metroplex have two venues to select from when watching the USMNT play with the American Outlaws. The Dallas Chapter will be watching the game at their partner pub, The Staggering Irishman. The Ft. Worth Chapther will be watching the game at the Abbey Pub.

At the Stagger Irishman, American Outlaws Dallas’ World Cup partner Soccer Corner will be on hand and giving away USA and World Cup memorabilia in match day competitions. The American Outlaws Dallas chapter will also have t-shirts and scarves available for purchase while supplies last.

Monday June 16, 2014 — 5 pm CST — United States v Ghana

The opening game of the World Cup is vital to the USMNT and a win is almost a must for the squad if they’re going to advance out of the group. Ghana has been a thorn in the sides of the USMNT however, sending them home in the last two World Cups.

The AO Dallas chapter will be at The Staggering Irishman, but there is also an event at the Londoner on Greenville Ave. World Soccer Shop will be present at the Londoner and Neil Barnett from Sirius FC’s the Football Show (Sirius/XM radio) will be broadcasting live before the match kicks off.

Sunday June 22, 2014 — 5 pm CST — United States v Portugal

The Dallas chapter of the American Outlaws has partnered with Lionsraw USA, a charity founded in 2007 that completes construction projects for the poor in South Africa, the host of the 2010 World Cup, as well as a feeding program for underprivileged school children. This year they’re expanding their work to Brazil, the host of the 2014 World Cup, and the Dallas Chapter along with the Staggering Irishman will put on a raffle for a 2014 UMSNT home shirt, which was donated by World Soccer Shop.

All proceeds will go towards Lionsraw so they can continue their great work.
