Sulley Munatri and Kevin Prince Boateng dismissed from Ghana team

There is a lot of craziness coming out of the Ghana World Cup camp right now. There were demands that the team get more money, which led to Ghanian officials flying three million dollars out to them in Brazil on a plane.

Then you wake up the next morning and two prominent players have been kicked off the team. AC Milan’s Sulley Munatri and Shalke 04’s Kevin Prince Boateng have both been dismissed from the team by head coach James Kwasi Appiah, according to Ghanasportsonline.com.
"The two ave been embroiled in extreme indiscipline and been involved in troublesome acts at the teams’ camps in Brazil and the coach now feels the two stars would be a distraction to the team with their continous stay.Muntari is alledged to have slapped a member of the Ghana National Team’s management committee by name Moses Armah and even chased with with broken bottles at the hotel over disagreements with appearance fees and other bonuses owed the players."
Boateng is just said “to have had several altercations with the head coach,” no chasing people around with broken bottles like it is a saloon in the wild, wild west.
The team suspended both players indefinitely. First Sulley Muntari, via Ghana’s website:
"The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has suspended Sulley Ali Muntari indefinitely from the Black Stars with immediate effect. The decision was taken in the wake of his unprovoked physical attack on an Executive Committee member of the GFA and a management member of the Black Stars, Mr. Moses Armah on Tuesday 24th June, 2014 during a meeting."
And the statement on Kevin-Prince Boateng:
"The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved coach Kwesi Appiah’s decision to suspend Kevin-Prince Boateng indefinitely from the Black Stars. The decision takes immediate effect. The decision was taken following Boateng’s vulgar verbal insults targeted at coach Kwesi Appiah during the team’s training session in Maceio this week.Boateng has since showed no remorse for his actions which has resulted in the decision."
Makes you wonder if they got some of that money before getting kicked off the team. But it really makes you wonder what in the world is going on in their camp? So much chaos and all of this before their final game of the group stage, when they play Portugal.
A win, coupled with a United States loss could get them into the “Round of 16.” In a lot of ways it is better for the United States because their is less of a chance of them being eliminated, even if they lose, if Portugal wins.
