After a hard fought 90 minutes from both sides, we were treated towards extra time with the goal tied at one goal a piece.
With the game deadlocked after the two fifteen minute extra time halves, we were sent into a penalty shoot-out to determine who will be moving on the World Cup quarterfinals against the winner of Colombia vs. Uruguay.
David Luiz icked off the penalty shoot-out by getting Brazil on the board, and Julio Cesar built off of that momentum for a clutch save for Brazil. William had the opportunity to put Brazil up 2, and he fooled Chile’s Bravo with a stutter step but sent the ball wide left.
With the door open for Chile to even up the shoot-out, Julio Cesar came up with another huge save to deny Alexis Sanchez.

Marcelo came up huge for Brazil and Chile answered, which kept the pressure on Brazil to keep their one goal advantage. Unfortunately, Hulk was unable to convert and Chile was able to tie it up.
It came down to Brazil star Neymar to put Brazil ahead and get all of the pressure on Chile and his stutter step was enough to fool Bravo and put everything on the shoulders of Chile defender Gonzalo Jara and he came up just short and cracked the post.
It was a valiant effort from Chile, but a devastating way to exit the tournament.
