It doesn’t appear that anybody truly knows what LeBron James plans to do in free agency, though it appears as if some believe he is attempting to distance himself from the Miami Heat front office.

More from LeBron James

That’s the word from Fox Sports Ohio’s Sam Amico who says the MVP talent is still yet to make a decision regarding his future.

"LeBron James began to distance himself from Miami Heat management during the season and has yet to reach a firm decision on where he’ll sign next, a source familiar with James’ thinking told FOX Sports Ohio on Sunday."

Of course, this sentiment comes on the heels of James praising the Heat for their draft so it’s hard to take such a report without a hefty grain of salt.

When LeBron James decided to opt-out of his contract with the Miami Heat, it did seem as if he may be pondering leaving. However when both Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade did the same, it seemed to suggest that the three were opting out of their deals to continue their ‘Big 3’ tradition in South Beach (or possibly clearing enough space to add another high quality free agent).

On the flip side, it’s been reported that James is seeking a max financial contract though the news seemed to suggest the demand was more relayed for teams interested in signing him, not necessarily the Miami Heat who can offer him more money and years than any opposing team because they own his Bird Rights.

James obviously had some issues with the current build of the Miami Heat roster, but I don’t know if it’s enough to distance himself from the organization.
