The Miami Dolphins hosted the Kansas City Chiefs today at Sun Life Stadium hoping to improve to 2-1 against the hapless 0-2 Chiefs squad. Instead of putting on an impressive home performance for the Dolphins fans in attendance, the Dolphins squandered multiple opportunities as the Chiefs defeated them handily 34-15.

Ryan Tannehill struggled this afternoon, as he completed only 48 percent of his passes, and managed one touchdown while throwing for 205 yards. With his statline suggesting a mediocre outing, Tannehill believes that he and his team should have played a lot better.

“We struggled the whole game,” Tannehill told the media afterwards. “The most frustrating part was that it was a 5 point game in the fourth quarter and we did not come out on top. I felt confident at that point that we were going to win the game.”

When asked what went wrong for the Dolphins offense, Tannehill was succinct in his answer: “We just didn’t get it done today.”

With the loss, the Dolphins have dropped two straight after their sensational Week 1 victory over their AFC East rivals the New England Patriots. Although it was a frustrating game for Tannehill and company, he still has confidence in his team moving forward.

“When you are not getting things done it’s obviously frustrating,” Tannehill continued. “It is still early on in the season, so I have confidence that we can get this turned around, but that’s got to happen now. And I said that last week, and we didn’t get it done. Now we are going across the ocean to play a big game in London heading into the bye week, so we need to be 2-2 at that point.”

Tannehill and the Dolphins travel to London next weekend to face off against the 0-3 Oakland Raiders. After their Week 5 bye, the Dolphins return home to face off against the very tough Green Bay Packers, so a win next weekend is vital if this team plans on contending for a playoff spot.
