The Los Angeles Clippers have the reputation of being a team that flops… a lot.

More from Los Angeles Clippers

The Memphis Grizzlies promotional department apparently wants to poke fun of the Clippers’ flopping ways, as the team will be giving away flip flops to the first 5,000 fans at the Feb. 27 game vs. the Clippers.

NNot only is this hilarious, but it’s a great move by the Grizzlies to get themselves some attention in August. Surely, this promotion will drum up interest for this February game where Blake Griffin will likely get heckled relentlessly.

This isn’t the only great promo the Grizzlies are doing. They also announced on Tuesday that they were giving away wrestling belts to the first 3,000 fans for their Jan. 31 matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Grizzlies and Thunder have had some very physical battles in recent years, so a wrestling belt promotion fits this game perfectly.

Still, the Griz’s Zach Randolph-themed bow ties to the first 5,000 fans in attendance for the team’s April 4 contest versus the Washington Wizards might top both of the previously discussed giveaways.

Regardless, it’s clear that Memphis has the best fan promotions we’ve ever seen.
