Out are retiring Digger Phelps, the former Notre Dame coach who has been with the four-letter network since 1993, and Jalen Rose, who is doing more NBA coverage these days for ESPN.

Williams, the former Wooden Award winner whose pro career was cut short by a motorcycle crash following his rookie season with the Chicago Bulls, has been with ESPN since 2008.

Greenberg joined the network following his April 2012 firing from Virginia Tech.

ESPN launched the basketball version of College GameDay in 2005 after the success of the college football version it debuted in 1987.

College GameDay has been hosted at 44 schools—most frequently Kansas (five) and Duke (four).

The show has also visited two women’s programs since it came on the air—Connecticut and Tennessee. A total of 50 schools have made appearances on the show.

According to College Basketball Talk, College GameDay will most likely make its 2014-15 debut at the Champions Classic in Indianapolis on Nov. 18. The event features four of the nation’s bluebloods—Duke, Kansas, Kentucky and Michigan State—and culminates the network’s 24-hour tip-off marathon.
