The Carolina Panthers played the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, and their former player wide receiver Steve Smith. When he was released by the Ravens and subsequently signed with the Ravens, Smith promised blood and guts would be spilled.

So when they played, someone in the NFL wisely decided to put a microphone on Steve Smith. Black and Blue Review‘s Bill Voth pulled this clip from Inside the NFL and uploaded it for us all to enjoy.

It starts off with Smith on the sideline talking about putting a nail in Carolina’s coffin. He then turns his attention to someone and directs a message, probably the Panthers, that they need to get back to Carolina. While they’re there, they need to mow his lawn, which has probably not received attention from Smith with his relocation to Baltimore.

The clip also includes a post-game speech from Smith inside the locker room, where he tells the younger players to “ice up.”
