Andy Dalton won’t have his favorite target on Sunday as A.J. Green is officially out for the Bengals game on Sunday
A.J. Green’s toe injury will not allow him to suit up for the Cincinnati Bengals game on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, according to ESPN’s Bob Holtzman.

Green aggravated his toe injury during practice on Wednesday and was carted off the practice field and the team was pessimistic about his chances of playing through the pain and the injury immediately after the setback, but it was not until Friday that the team officially ruled him out for the Week 6 contest.

The Bengals will have to rely on their running game with Gio Bernard leading the way as a dual-threat running back who is equally capable of catching passes out of the backfield as he is at carrying the ball and could be in line for a 25-plus touch day on Sunday afternoon.
Rookie running back Jeremy Hill could also be in line for additional work if head coach Marvin Lewis and offensive coordinator Hue Jackson elect to go with a run-heavy approach against Luke Kuechly and the Panthers who are coming off a fourth-quarter comeback last Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
Mohammed Sanu will have to step up as the team’s No. 1 receiver so if you own Green on your fantasy team you may want to scan the waiver wire and see if you can pick up Sanu who is coming off a four-catch, 70-yard performance with a touchdown last week against the New England Patriots on Sunday night.
Sanu has 17 catches for 234 yards and two touchdowns this season. Green has 17 catches for 314 yards and two touchdowns.
