Given how Cincy had played in recent primetime games, few gave the Bengals a chance to win entering the contest. But Cincinnati handled business and sent Peyton Manning and Co. home back to Denver with a disappointing loss.

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton started out slow, throwing an interception that was returned for a touchdown by Aqib Talib on the team’s second drive. However, Dalton managed the game fine after the pick, throwing for two touchdowns, the one interception and 146 yards in the game (89.6 passer rating).

But the real star of the Bengals’ offense was running back Jeremy Hill. The LSU product scored on an 85-yard rush the drive following Dalton’s pick-six and rushed for 147 yards in the game. Fellow running back Giovani Bernard added 36 yards on the ground with 45 receiving yards and a receiving score.

On the other side, Peyton Manning really struggled. Aside from a dominant third quarter, the Bengals got to Manning, forcing four interceptions in the contest. Dre Kirkpatrick’s 30-yard pick-six of Manning sealed the game for Cincy.

Manning finished the game with 311 yards, two touchdowns and the four interceptions (61.8 passer rating).

The Broncos now have to win in Week 17 against the Oakland Raiders to clinch a first-round postseason bye. For the Bengals, they will need to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers next week to win the AFC North.
