Ohio State quarterback hype video showcases Buckeyes’ embarrassment of riches
This Ohio State hype video proves just how stacked the Buckeyes are heading into 2015-16
When it comes to the 2015-16 college football season there’s Ohio State and then the rest of the field. After steamrolling to the inaugural College Football Playoff Championship (outscoring opponents 143-55 in three postseason games), Urban Meyer’s squad will enter its quest for a title defense with an embarrassment of riches – namely 16 returning starters.
Front and center is Ohio State’s three-headed monster under center. Whereas a number of the nation’s premier programs can hardly find one surefire starter at quarterback, the Buckeyes have three legitimate Heisman hopefuls vying for the position.
Braxton Miller entered last season as the team’s QB1 before injuring his shoulder at the end of fall camp. Backup J.T. Barrett stepped up to the plate and, with the exception of an early-season home loss to Virginia Tech, hardly missed a beat. He guided the Bucks to a sterling 8-0 conference record, 11-1 overall mark and even wound up finishing fifth in the Heisman balloting. After he was injured against Michigan, Meyer turned to third-string Cardale Jones and the rest, as they say, was history.
With eyes set squarely on a repeat, Ohio State fans can now lick their chops and imagine what the new season will bring, thanks to this hype video featuring all three signal callers.
The Stay with Me song choice is an interesting one, given the scuttlebutt surrounding whether or not Miller will transfer following spring camp. At this point, all parties involved (Miller, Meyer, OSU) have rejected any notions of him leaving, though there will likely be rumors and innuendo throughout the offseason. Regardless, right now everything is coming up Buckeyes.
