Russell Westbrook uses his cheetah-like speed and destroys the rim with a vigorous slam dunk in an exhibition matchup against FC Barcelona.

The Oklahoma City Thunder is looking to get back on the winning track as they face another powerhouse team in Madrid, Spain. The Thunder are currently squaring off against an FC Barcelona team that includes former NBA players Joey Dorsey and Juan Carlos Navarro.

To make a statement to show FC Barcelona that OKC isn’t taking them lightly, Russell Westbrook zoomed down the court as he finished a thunderous dunk down the lane. This is the second consecutive game that the players in Madrid became a casualty to an agonizing dunk highlight. Victor Oladipo victimized two Real Madrid players and Westbrook dunked on the FC Barcelona team.

Westbrook’s dunks are a thing of beauty and they are even better when he is traveling at torrent speeds. In the short span, I’ve watched the dunk about twenty times.

What makes the dunk impressive is that he took two dribbles from half court and the defense parted like the red sea. From there, he morphed into Kamehameha mode as he flew in the air with such elegance and authority.

The unequivocal power from his dunk comes as no surprise as Westbrook has a proclivity for tearing down rims in NBA arenas. With Westbrook taking his dunking spectacle to Spain, it gives the fans there a glimpse of what NBA fans see.

It’s no secret that the Thunder will miss Kevin Durant, but plays like the one above will make OKC fans continue to relish the ongoing highlight reel of Westbrook.
