College Football Picks Against The Spread November 25

College football can be a fickle beast. It is still easier to pick against the spread than the NFL, but when you pick every game, it can get tough. I was marginally better last week (I know….big surprise) so I still have a big hole to dig myself out of.

More from College Football Odds

In case you don’t know what I do here, I pick every college football game of the season. Against the spread. Trust me, it’s not as easy as it sounds! I take the average of the odds from all of the Vegas casinos. I then round to the nearest half. There will be no ties here. Ties are for the other football (soccer).

This contains the picks for FBS vs. FBS games only. It is too hard to get an accurate spread on games that involve 1-AA teams.

I will assign a point value “bet” on each game, between one and five points. That way you can see just how confident I am in each pick. Look for those at the end of each line.

This is for entertainment purposes only! I cannot be responsible for you losing any of your worldly possessions (or limbs) because of my picks. These are a guideline that you can use to help you with your picks. I am a simple man. I can’t have that on my conscience.

We have our largest week of the year, with 61 games between Tuesday and Saturday this week. 14 of them are on Friday. Let’s get to those picks!

Northern Illinois (-4.5) at Kent State(3): The Huskies are down to their third string quarterback, and Kent is down to their second string. I like what I’ve seen so far from Daniel Santacaterina (not to mention the interesting surname), so I’m taking the Huskies.

North Carolina State at North Carolina(-10.5)(2): This looks a tad high for a rivalry game. The Wolfpack also need a win to ensure a bowl bid. They have a lot more riding on this than the Tarheels do. Give me NC State.

(20)Houston(-3.5) at Memphis(3): If Houston plays like they did against Louisville, this wont be close. However, we have seen good, bad, and ugly from Houston this year. Which will show up here? I think Houston does, but I’m not all that confident in it.

Buffalo at Bowling Green(-13.5)(3): Saying Bowling Green is playing well may be a bit of a stretch, but they are playing a lot better than Buffalo. I will take the Falcons.

Arkansas(-8.5) at Missouri(5): This is way too low. The only SEC team that the Tigers have managed to beat, or even hang with, is Vandy. Arkansas by double digits…..easily.

(5)Washington(-6.5) at (23)Washington State(2): This is going to be a really good game, but just how good? I expect the Cougars to put on a good show at home, but I’m not sure they are good enough to beat the Huskies. A possible playoff berth is on the line. Give me Washington.

(19)Boise State(-8.5) at Air Force(2): This line is low, but I still don’t see the Broncos covering. I am more worried about the Broncos losing outright than winning by double digits. Give me Air Force.

TCU at Texas(-3.5)(2): Well, the troops seem to rally when Charlie Strong’s feet are to the fire. Many think his feet, and his goose, are already cooked no matter what happens here. This line opened even, and it likely should have stayed there. If Texas does win, I doubt its by more than three. Give me TCU.

(16)Nebraska at Iowa(-2.5)(3): If Tommy Armstrong is able to play, I may bump this up to five points. I like Nebraska anyway, but if they are without Armstrong and Fyfe, it could get dicey. I am putting three points on it just in case I don’t get back to change it before Friday.

Louisiana Tech(-13.5) at Southern Mississippi(5): I do realize that this is a road game, but Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee State are the only two CUSA teams that have managed to stay within this margin. The Bulldogs win by about 20.

Toledo at (21)Western Michigan(-9.5)(3): I have been a big Toledo supporter all year, but I don’t see them keeping this within ten points. I will take the Broncos for anything under 14.

Texas Tech vs. Baylor(-5.5) at Jerry World(4): This will be a high scoring game, but Tech just got decimated by Iowa State and Joel Lanning. Look for Shock Linwood to have a monster game here, and for Baylor to win by a couple of TD’s.

Cincinnati at Tulsa(-23.5)(1): Wow, this seems like a lot. This line is already up a touchdown, and could be up more by tomorrow. I like Tulsa, but I don’t know….this is a lot of points. Give me Tulsa, but I don’t have a lot of confidence in it.

Arizona State(-2.5) at Arizona(3): I was going to put five on this, but lines that fall this far this fast make me nervous. It is down 3.5 points since it opened, and could be down more. I get it. After all, it is a rivalry game, and a big one at that. However, the talent gap is quite large. Give me Sparky.
