MLB DFS Value Plays for DraftKings and FanDuel June 6th

I’ll be looking to uncover the most obvious MLB DFS Value Plays on each slate, and each site. Value plays will generally consist of under-priced players, or players priced differently on a given site. Some values will be in play on both sites, some will only be values on one specific site. Note that value tends to carry higher ownership and may be worth a fade in specific GPP contests.

Tonight’s slate features 15 games, with Cleveland (5.7), Colorado (5.4), New York (5.3), and Houston (5.2), holding the best projected team totals. With high priced players available, finding value will be critical for success tonight. Here are a handful of value plays on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

MLB DFS – DraftKings MLB Values:

Carlos Gonzalez – COL (OF) – $3800

The Rockies will return home, to host the visiting Cleveland Indians tonight, in a game in which Colorado has a projected team total of 5.4 runs. Colorado will be the underdog in this matchup, but their offense will still be able to reap the benefits of playing at Coors Field. Carlos Gonzalez is very underpriced on DraftKings, relative to FanDuel. Gonzalez’s price has fallen over $1000 from late May, when he was priced around the $5000 mark. The Rockies will face the righty, Mike Clevinger, and lefties like Gonzalez will be at an advantage. Gonzalez holds a .328 wOBA split against righties this year.

Kyle Seager – SEA (3B) – $3600

Kyle Seager isn’t in the ideal matchup in terms of split, but opposing pitcher, Hector Santiago, provides an opportune spot for Seattle batters. Seager should bat fifth and benefit from a team total of 5.1 runs. The combination of Seager’s impressive batted ball stats and Hector Santiago’s batted balls against, should draw your attention tonight. In the last 15 days, Seager’s distance is up 15 feet, his hard hit percentage is up 6%, and his exit velocity is up 2 MPH. While his fantasy production has been lack luster of late, his batted ball stats may indicate signs of positive regression in the future. This could come tonight, given Santiago’s poor performance of late. In the last 15 days, Santiago’s opposing distance is up 26 feet, his opposing hard hit percentage is up 4%, and his opposing exit velocity is up 1 MPH.

MLB DFS – FanDuel MLB Values:

Michael Conforto – NYM (OF) – $4000

Michael Conforto is one of the better value plays on the board, given his price on FanDuel relative to DraftKings and New York’s projected team total of 5.2 runs. Conforto should bat in the lead off spot and will be in a good matchup against a righty. Conforto holds a .366 wOBA split and a .248 ISO split.

More from FanSided

Jake Lamb – ARI (3B) – $3900

Jake Lamb is always in play when he’s able to draw a matchup against a right-handed pitcher. Lamb holds a .388 wOBA split (.126 better than when facing a lefty), and a .301 ISO split (.132 better than when facing a lefty). While it appears to be public money, it’s still important to note the line move for Arizona. Arizona opened as a -170 favorite and has now moved to a -190 favorite.

Justin Upton – DET (OF) – $3600

Justin Upton and the Detroit Tigers are coming off of a walk off win against the White Soxs two nights ago and outfielder, Upton, should be considered again tonight. They’ll be in another favorable spot as they hold a projected team total of 5 runs. Upton will be facing a righty, but his splits have been fairly neutral so far this year. It appears as if Upton has found his swing of late, and should be considered tonight, especially on FanDuel, where he’s available at a discount. At first look, there appears to be significant winds (15 MPH) blowing out to right-center field, so if Upton can put balls in play, he may offer additional upside.
